Generators

Quiet diesel power for the whole camp.

WhisperWatt diesel power for the whole base camp. Quiet, long-running units sized to the camp they serve, with the cabling and distribution to put the power where it is needed.

  • 70 kVA powers roughly 9 outfitted yurts
  • 85 kVA and 85 kVA Ultra-Silent power roughly 12
  • 30 to 60 hours of runtime per fuel tank
  • Cabling and distribution boxes included

Generator capacities

Power sized to the camp.

WhisperWatt diesel units. We match the capacity to the camp so the power is never the weak point.

70 kVA

Powers roughly 9 outfitted yurts

  • WhisperWatt diesel
  • Roughly 30 to 60 hours per fuel tank
  • Cabling and distribution included
  • A mid-size camp on one unit

85 kVA

Powers roughly 12 outfitted yurts

  • WhisperWatt diesel
  • Roughly 30 to 60 hours per fuel tank
  • Cabling and distribution included
  • Carries two light towers as well

85 kVA Ultra-Silent

Roughly 12 yurts, built quiet

  • Sound-insulated WhisperWatt cabinet
  • For sleeping areas and quiet hours

Getting it to the incident

Hauled in, connected, and running.

Power is the first thing a camp needs and the last thing it can afford to lose. Here is how it gets there.

  1. 01

    Transport

We haul the generator to the incident on our own trucks, sized to the camp before it leaves the yard.

  2. 02

    Place and connect

Our crew positions the unit and runs the camp power, on a safe, contained skid.

  3. 03

    Distribute

Cables, cords, and distribution boxes carry power out to the yurts, the light towers, and the clerical unit.

  4. 04

    Run and refuel

The generator runs through the night and is refueled on a schedule, so the camp never goes dark.

What the power runs

One power plan for the whole camp.

Because Evergreen fields the power and the equipment together, the generator is sized to the camp it serves before anything ships.

01

Lodging and quarters

Every outfitted yurt across the camp: lighting, outlets, and any heat or air conditioning.

02

Light towers

Type 1 and Type 2 light towers run off the same base-camp power.

03

The clerical unit

Workstations, printers, and the plotter in the staffed clerical trailer.

04

Matched, not guessed

A 70 kVA unit carries roughly 9 outfitted yurts, an 85 kVA roughly 12, so the camp is never short.

Built for uptime

Power that does not quit.

An incident cannot afford to lose power. Evergreen does not just drop a generator and leave. The units are maintained constantly, kept in condition to deliver steady, consistent power for the length of the camp.

If a generator does go down, there is a backup unit on the camp ready to take the load, and Evergreen runs its own mechanics who get it going again fast. Short of an act of God, the camp does not go dark.

How the power stays on

Maintained constantly
Units are kept in condition for steady, consistent output.
Backup unit ready
A spare generator stands by in case one goes offline.
Mechanics on staff
Evergreen runs its own mechanics, fixing a unit fast right on the camp.

Quiet by design

The Ultra-Silent unit, for camps that need quiet.

A base camp runs around the clock, but the people in it still have to sleep. The WhisperWatt Ultra-Silent generator is built for camps where noise control matters: near sleeping quarters, during quiet hours, on any site where the constant hum of power would wear a crew down.

Its sound-insulated cabinet is the reason the brand is called WhisperWatt. It is part of how Evergreen builds a quiet camp, alongside light towers that cover the ground without the noise.

Questions

Common generator questions.

What size generator does my camp need?

A 70 kVA unit powers roughly nine outfitted yurts; an 85 kVA unit powers roughly twelve. We size the power to the camp you are running so it is never the weak point.

How often does a generator need refueling?

Each unit runs roughly 30 to 60 hours on a tank, depending on the load, so a camp gets through the night, and usually longer, without a refueling stop.

What comes with the generator?

Cables, cords, and distribution boxes come with every unit. The 85 kVA and larger units also carry two light towers.

How quiet is the Ultra-Silent unit?

The WhisperWatt Ultra-Silent has a sound-insulated cabinet built for camps where noise control matters, near sleeping areas or during quiet hours. For an exact sound level for your site, call 1-866-270-1749 and we will go over it.

What happens if a generator fails?

Evergreen keeps a backup generator on the camp and runs its own mechanics. If a unit goes offline, the spare takes the load and the mechanics get the original running again fast, so the camp keeps consistent power.
